Wrinkly youth

This Southwestern fellow was part of the 141st Infantry ("First Texas") AEF. I do know that he survived the war, but I don't know if he ever learned to use an ironing board. WW1 never gets much attention in the U.S., perhaps it will during the upcoming centennial.
The 141st, part of the 36th Division, faught well at the Meuse-Argonne, and other places in France through the end of the war. See here for more info.
